Library to host 180th Fighter Wing events throughout summer

TOLEDO, OH (Press Release) – Have you ever seen or heard what you thought was a fighter plane overhead? You probably were not imagining things – it may have been an F-16 from the 180th Fighter Wing of the Ohio Air National Guard. F-16 pilots located at Toledo Express Airport regularly conduct training flights as a part of their overall readiness for America’s homeland security and defense.

Lucas County unemployment drops to 7.8 percent, Toledo to 8.4 percent

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) – Unemployment in Lucas County fell again in April, hitting 7.8 percent. That number is down from the 8.5 percent reported in March, and the 8.0 percent reported in April of 2012.

Lucas County Dog Warden to participate in International Dog Bite Prevention Challenge

TOLEDO, OH (Press Release) - The Lucas County Dog Warden will participate with Doggone Safe in the International Dog Bite Prevention Challenge.  It challenges its presenters to visit schools and educate 50,000 children about dog safety in a single month.  The Challenge will occur during Dog Bite Prevention Week (May 20-26, 2012).  So far 57 presenters have pledged to educate over 18,000 kids in eight countries, five Canadian provinces and twenty four US states.
